1. Freight Transportation Limits
When we move your cargo across state lines or through the congested streets of Detroit, we operate under strict cargo liability limits. We're proud of our safety record, but we've got to be clear: our standard transit liability is capped at $50,000 per shipment unless otherwise negotiated in writing before the wheels turn. It's how we keep our rates competitive and our insurance premiums manageable.
2. Warehousing & Storage Liability
Storing freight in our 14115 Abington Ave facility? We apply the standard of reasonable care. However, AMBASSADOR DISTRIBUTION SERVICES LLC isn't an insurer of your goods. We recommend all clients maintain their own primary property insurance. If a loss occurs due to our proven negligence, our liability is limited to $0.50 per pound or $50 per item, whichever is less. Small numbers? Perhaps, but they're industry standard for a reason.
3. Delivery Guarantees & Delays
We pride ourselves on punctuality. But what about blizzards, mechanical failures, or unexpected port strikes? We don't guarantee transit times to the minute. AMBASSADOR DISTRIBUTION SERVICES LLC shall not be held liable for any indirect or consequential damages resulting from transit delays. We're fast, but we're not magic.
NOTICE: All claims for loss or damage must be filed within 9 months of delivery per 49 U.S.C. 14706. Don't wait until the trail goes cold.
